Fancybox jQuery Plugin

fancybox_net_exampleYou can use Fancybox as a lightbox alternative on your website. FancyBox is tool for displaying images, html content and multi-media in a Mac-style “lightbox” that floats overtop of web page. It can be configured to use a single photo, gallery, ajax content, video or any html you can think of.

The lightbox photo will resize depending on the browser window. This is a very good choice when it comes to using jQuery lightboxes.

s3Slider jQuery plugin

This jQuery plugin is great for displaying images in a slide show format. You can have multiple slideshows on the same page and it allows you to add a text overlay that fades in and fades out over the photos in the slide show. You can set the timing, text placeholder location and even the opacity of the text overlay. Very nice and easy-to-use and give your website the WOW factor.

Photoshop Browser Templates

Ever get tired of editing screenshots in order to create useable browser frames so you can make mock-ups of the webpages you are creating? Now you can save lots of time by using these great templates instead of starting from scratch.

As a web designer, at one time or another, you are going to need these. Either when presenting your work to a client, or working on a high resolution monitor; adding a browser frame around your design will help you (another others) get an idea of what the site will really look like.

Customize Web Forms with a Script

Do you ever have problems making your forms look identical across the different web browsers? Radio buttons and checkbox always look different in IE, Firefox or Safari. Now, you can add some consistency with Niceforms. Niceforms allows you to use and create skins for web forms. You can download a script, css and psd file to give your web forms a new look. Niceforms is completely free for both personal and commercial use as long as credits remain intact within the source files

You basically know a web form when you see one as they always look the same and they’ve kept this look over the years. Try as hard as you might but web forms can only change their appearance so much. Some may argue that this is a good usability feature, and I tend to agree, but there comes a time when you just need to style web forms so that they look different. How do you do that? Niceforms comes to the rescue!

Niceforms is a script that will replace the most commonly used form elements with custom designed ones. You can either use the default theme that is provided or you can even develop your own look with minimal effort.
