Easy-to-Use Tool to Discuss and Collaborate on Website Designs

Notable is an online tool that allows you to markup any web page quickly and easily. While I’ve only played with this a little, I can see it has tremendous potential. It allows you to capture a website screen shot, then easily add notes and comments to share with your team, clients or vendors. This is very slick and you’ve got to to test it for yourself to see the power.

I could see using it to critique a web design with your team or by your clients. Or possibly using Notable to mark up the web design comp before handing it over to the PSD to xHTML team. It would allow you to specify functionality quickly and easily. Give it a go and see what you can come up with, I think I’ll be testing it to see if it works for my business.

The downside for me is the pricing. although there is a free (Personal) version that I could use internally, I’m not sure if I can justify spending another $25 monthly.

The Tour doesn’t do this web application justice, so make sure to Sign Up for the Free Account

jQuery Sliding Login Panel

Website Real Esate is at such a premium, this jQuery sliding login panel can definitely save your layout space AND wow your website visitors. The first version was done in MooTools, but I’m more of a jQuery guy so this would be my choice. When accessing the tutorial, you may want to view the earlier version since it seems to go over the html structure. I’ll follow up once I’ve added this to one of my sites. This killer sliding login panel was done by Jeremie Tisseau at Web-Kreation

The login panel you create will be interactive. The user will be able to open and close it at will.
